The Advanced IBS & Gut Microbiome Practicum is an evidence-based training designed to help dietitians confidently assess and manage irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and digestive health disorders using a holistic and integrative approach. This course explores the connection between gut microbiome balance, digestive symptoms, dietary triggers, and lifestyle factors affecting gastrointestinal health.

Participants will gain practical knowledge on IBS classification, diagnosis, red flags, and evidence-based nutrition interventions including the low FODMAP diet and probiotic use. The practicum combines scientific understanding with real-world applications to help clinicians personalize nutrition therapy for patients with digestive disorders.
