Advanced Practicum on Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) for Dietetics Professionals

Lecturer: Cosette Fakih El Khoury, PhD, LD
CPECS: 3

The Advanced Practicum on Chronic Kidney Disease for Dietetics Professionals is a case-based clinical training focused on the nutrition management of individuals with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and hemodialysis (HD). This advanced practicum helps dietitians strengthen their clinical reasoning, nutrition assessment, and intervention-planning skills in renal nutrition care.

Participants will explore the stages of CKD, evidence-based dietary interventions, and the unique nutritional considerations of patients receiving hemodialysis. Practical group work and case applications are integrated throughout the training to reinforce clinical decision-making.
