The Comprehensive Diabetes Management Practicum is an advanced evidence-based training designed to help dietitians strengthen their expertise in diabetes nutrition therapy and carbohydrate counting. Through practical applications and simulated clinical cases, participants will learn how to confidently assess dietary intake, develop individualized meal plans, and manage blood glucose patterns effectively.
This practicum covers both basic and advanced carbohydrate counting approaches, insulin therapy fundamentals, nutrition-focused physical exams, and pattern management using food diaries and CGM data.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will learn how to:
Apply evidence-based nutrition therapy in diabetes management
